oh, the irony.

Today Aaron does not want a nap (he desperately needs one) and we discussed that at length. After an extended period of time crying in his bed, Aaron started going through his repertoire. The alphabet song, followed by...drumroll please...

Repetetive renditions of Ephesians 6:1.

If I wasn't so determined that he would not manipulate the situation and that he would just obey and lie down and take a nap already, I would be laughing...

I'm right there with you. If only we could do a switcheroo! Mommies take a nap this afternoon, while the two year olds, fold laundry and clean the bathroom. Works for me! Glad to hear my two year old isn't the only one that thinks napping is for the birds!

That's great! Not that he didn't nap, but about the verse!

That's just like my Kayla. I'll hear her singing a Patch the Pirate song, "If you have a sister or brother, be kind to each other. Never say, "that's mine..." Singing stops and I hear her say, "No, Krista. Don't mess my stuff up" in an unkind voice. Hmmm...

Sorry to hear about the nap issue. Over the last couple of weeks, Kayla has skipped her nap 2-3 times, and she has always been a great napper. Sigh... hopefully, it's not a sign for either of us that naps are about to end.
