For those of you who have children who use sippy cups:
If, hypothetically, you were to take your children to the store for a quick trip and they were to say, throw their sippy cup overboard from the cart, you might want to check to make sure the valve (the one inside to prevent leaks) is still intact and in the proper position before putting it in your purse.
Otherwise, you run the risk of foreign substances invading your purse. Like apple juice. It might even leak out of the purse and run down your leg. Apple juice is sticky.
And you might be very thankful that you have a cloth, washable purse. And that you decided to put your cell phone in a place out of the way of the torrential leakage.

Oh boy. Something tells me that this was not purely hypothetical! :) Silas' sippy cups have that valve too, and he has discovered that it will come loose if he shakes and bangs it hard enough. The water then splashes even further on the carpet and furniture, much to his satisfaction! Thankfully these incidents have been few and far between. :)
Oh the adventures we have with our kids!
Ugh...this happened in the grocery store once. The mouth part didn't hit the floor, I wiped it anyway and gave it back to Jonas. It had milk in it. I continued shopping and wasn't paying attention. Finally I saw the milk soaked boy in all his glory sitting happily in the grocery cart. :-)
eww yuck.
Jenny, I love how you make an otherwise aggrevating situation very funny. Isn't this how Emma Bomback got her start..writing funny things that happened while caring for her family?
Love it!!
Aunt Rosemary
This is too real! Thanks for the laugh.
OH, if you want to read my blog email me alemanskigal@aol.com.
I have added you as a regular read for me!
And this is why I never leave the house.
*giggles* I'll tuck this bit of advice away for future use.
