I don't know about you, but I needed this reminder today.
an excerpt:
Tons of people want to do “great things for God.” Instead, we ought to do small things for God, everyday, right now, not tomorrow. He has already given us instructions: love God and our neighbor, act justly, love mercy, walk humbly. In the smallness, there is greatness. In the ordinary, there is extraordinary. Paul Tripp once wrote, “Remember, it is not your weakness that will get in the way of God’s working through you, but your delusions of strength.”

My mom and I were JUST talking about this very thing the other day! Maybe God is trying to teach me something...hmmm. Thanks for posting this:).
How are you feeling these days?
Good reminder. . .I am constantly trying to live life in my own strength and by my own efforts, all the while failing and continually crying out to God telling him "I am so weak, I can't do this!" Apparently, that is exactly where HE wants me to be--completely beyond myself!
Rachel,
God has been trying to drill this into my head for months now. Praise the LORD for his grace & mercy!!
I think I MIGHT finally be getting my second trimester energy boost. I'm thrilled, needless to say. Thank you for asking!!!
Enjoy that energy kick! It's such a relief to begin to feel just a bit normal again. I only have 7 weeks left and sooo many people ask how I'm doing. I'm refusing to say that I'm "hanging in there". I've had to slow down and pace myself but overall, I am feeling well. It does no good to complain anyway. :) :)
Hi, I'm a friend of Kara's and stumbled across your blog through her. I hope you don't mind :)
I just wanted to tell you thank you for this entry. I SO needed that today! I know God has been trying to teach me this as of late and this is such ajust a another little reminder of Micah for me.
