I voted for the NASB because that's my fave though I usually use the NIV for my Bible study. It reads better in my opinion.

I used to use NASB, but now I have an ESV. . .I like them both, NKJV also, but I voted ESV:)

My vote was based upon ready availability of helps--concordance, Schofield notes, etc., and my years of use of the KJV. My memory tells me there is a verse with a particular word in it, so with a concordance I can find what i am looking for. I like the NKJV very much, and i intend to read through the Bible using the ESV starting in Jan. so I may change my opinions. However, I will probably always prefer the KJV for stusy based on my familiarity. Dad

I also voted KJV because of my familiarity with it. However, recently, I started using the ESV in parallel with the KJV. I like how it reads, and I imagine at some point that I may make the switch, but I currently don't own an ESV (I've been reading it online) so I can't really vote for a translation I don't own, right? :)

As a child (in the "olden days" 1956-1961), my Dad, our pastor's wife, Mrs. Suk, and my wonderful Sunday School teachers at Calvary Baptist Church taught me verses from the King James Version. I enjoy reading the other translations, but I have the KJV words memorized and all other translations just don't sound like the 'Bible'. I guess that I am just 'old-fashioned'.

I voted for the NIV for my personal Bible study but I also own the NKJV and the KJV. I choose to memorize from the KJV but as far as my Bible reading goes, I prefer the NIV or the NKJV with the John MacArthur commentary.
