Yesterday I aired the house out - it was a beautiful, sunny day with temperatures close to 50 degrees. And I made Shyla's soup recipe for dinner. The high for today? Predicted at 36. Oh, well. I guess I'll have to figure out something warm and soothing for supper tonight, too! With being sick, I've slacked waaaay off on menu planning!!
Michael is working today since he missed Thursday. We are so thankful he has such a flexible boss. Aaron and I have to run to the bank, and do a couple other errands, like hopefully taking advantage of some great deals on cereal.
So our intestinal illness has morphed into a respiratory illness. Weird. It's like the virus knows how to knock out our immune systems, then kick us while we're down & out. This time, all three of us have it to some extent. Thankfully, I have all the herbal supplements I need for respiratory issues. And I'm not puking, so little Muth #2 can get some much needed nutrition!!
I'll be sooooo thankful when Spring is here and we can get plenty of fresh air!! AND exercise!!
Speaking of which, does anyone have a great pregnancy workout video they would recommend? I am in a desperate search, and I'm horribly uncoordinated. I mean, horribly. I could never quite master the "box step" or whatever the crazy thing was called at NBBC in aerobics class. After a whole semester, 3 days a week. So you see what you're working with here. Any ideas?

If we just lived a LITTLE bit closer together we could walk together. I'm not so coordinated my self.
I have Leisa Hart's fitmama prenatal workout dvd. I really enjoy it because it has some fun dances as a workout (salsa, cha cha cha, and it also does some yoga exercises, labor and delivery prep, and some stretches and relaxation techniques. She has mother's in all three trimester's doing the exercises to help you adjust to where you are at.
I have a dvd I can send you. Email me your address, ok? It's a pilates video and has separate sections based on trimesters. I suggest walking for aerobic exercise.
Hee-hee, thanks for the box step visual. I always laughed inside watching mk's and christian school kids in that nbbc aerobics class. :)
Hope you all get better soon!
Looks like Al has you covered, but just in case, I have used Tracy Mallet's pregnancy DVD and liked it. I also like Erin O'Brien's prenatal/postnatal set. I actually got it after I had Sydney so I have only used the postnatal but I really like it and I've heard good reviews about the prenatal part. No coordination needed!
I wish that I could offer advice with a workout DVD. I have one prenatal Pilates that is pretty good but I'm just not into the video/DVD thing for workouts.
I'm a big Total Gym advocate myself. It's what works best for me. I also like to get out and walk but the weather has been a bit more cooperative for me than it has been for you:). Good luck!
I hope that you find some supplements to knock out this virus once and for all! One of my friends loves Sambucol. I've yet to use it as my CVS was out of it last month when we needed it the most:(.
The cereal deal here at Krogers was okay but all that they had on sale was the Honey Nut Cheerios and plain Cheerios. Still, combined with the coupons I used, I made out like a bandit:). Today, I made some big scores at CVS and Walgreens. My husband just laughs (in a good way) when we walk out with all of this stuff and spend very little of our own money. The funny thing is, all of the items that I buy are things that we use so it's not frivolous spending - I LOVE THAT!!
Awww, your baby ticker is so cute!
i liked the walk away the pounds videos while i was preggo.
hope you liked the soup! we thought it was so yummy...especially the second day! :)
While you are jealous that we have CVS, I am jealous that you have Kroger, so I guess it all works out. :)
I can relate. I fell off my chair today...no lie.
