Song Shopping

I'm always in the market for new songs to share and to sing and even songs to keep to myself. This one has an amazing text. I hope it is a blessing to you today!

I Have A Shelter

I have a shelter in the storm
When troubles pour upon me
Though fears are rising like a flood
My soul can rest securely
O Jesus, I will hide in You
My place of peace and solace
No trial is deeper than Your love
That comforts all my sorrows

I have a shelter in the storm
When all my sins accuse me
Though justice charges me with guilt
Your grace will not refuse me
O Jesus, I will hide in You
Who bore my condemnation
I find my refuge in Your wounds
For there I find salvation

I have a shelter in the storm
When constant winds would break me
For in my weakness, I have learned
Your strength will not forsake me
O Jesus, I will hide in You
The One who bears my burdens
With faithful hands that cannot fail
You’ll bring me home to heaven

I love that line "No trial is deeper than your love." Thank You, Jesus!

Beautiful words, Jenny! Thanks for sharing. Although I've never heard this song and don't know the tune, the words seem like they would fit well with the tune to "How Deep the Father's Love." So that's how I was singing it to myself as I read through the words! :)

LOVE that one! That must be one of their free downloads, right? I listened to that one over and over again when I first discovered it. Have you heard "All I really need is your grace"? Excellent.

I love songs like this that just express so much! Have you heard any of Parachute Band's older songs- "Complete" is really good. as is "all the earth." Youtube is an easy place to find them

Somewhat off the record, I'm not a big fan of the vocal/ instrumentation style on any of the clips I've found to listen to. But I'm picky. :-) And these words were too awesome not to share.
