before the throne

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.

My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in Heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.

Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
King of glory and of grace,

One with Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God!

This song has been a blessing to us too. We sing it all the time at Colonial.

I haven't even heard of that song, but the words are good. Thanks for the birthday greetings. We had a good day - even with sunrise service requiring us to leave the house by 6:20 a.m.

I learned this song the summer I was in China. I haven't heard it since, but every once in a while it comes to my mind. What powerful imagery! It's breathtaking, really. Thanks for the reminder. I'll be singing it throughout the day.

Hey there :) I was so excited to hear that you had a blog too. I was wondering how you were doing. So how are you? Garrett and I just started a blog together, so be patient we will keep adding to it :)Garrett has his own blog cruxide.blogspot.com for a study outlet. Check it out sometime. I hope you guys can come down to VA Beach this summer. I would LOVE to see you. I understand if you can't though. You have an eventful summer in front of you as well. YEAH! However, I just could imagine a reunion without you guys there. Keep in touch

I love that song. It's one of those that the more you think about it the more powerful it becomes.
