peas

Aaron loves them. Attacks the spoon, as you can see. You may wonder why there is no bib. Well, I was pureeing a big batch of peas, making little peacubes for later. He looked interested, and so gave him a little taste on a whim. Needless to say, he had more than just a taste.

And today's dr. visit indicates that he's holding steady at his "just below the 3rd percentile" growth pattern. At 6 months plus, he's a whopping 13lbs, 11 oz, and 25 3/4 inches long. Maybe peas stunt your growth, but I doubt it.

And, in a matter of unrelated news, I was reading a periodical today in my 3 seconds of extra time, and found out that the Salvation Army will come with their truck to pick up not only large furniture and appliances, but as meager of an offering as 5 bags of clothes. Round up your friends, get out the It's Deductible Book and call up SA to get the goodies. (a five bag minimum. I was shocked!) Embarrasingly enough, I'm pretty sure I could come up with 5 bags on my own...

and, the second tooth has cleared the gums.

Jenny,
Aaron is so adorable! I've been meaning to blog you that for awhile now...I think his smile is so much like yours. He seems to have such a bubbly personality like his mamma!

Yay for yummy peas! Kind of looks like he's got a green goatee. Is he trying to start a new fashion trend? :) Glad to hear you're cooking up your own baby food too. Money saving and better than the jar stuff.

I'm saving up our discarded goods for a friend's yard sale set for this summer. Maybe I'll make $3. :)

Jonas loves peas. He hasn't turned anything down until today. I tried an avocado and he didn't really go for it. It could be he was really hungry and didn't want to try something new at that time. I'm going to try it again. Do you give it to Aaron straight, or do you do anything to it?

YAY! Isn't it fun!? I'm really enjoying feeding Olivia from a spoon.

Sarah, I've tried it with milk and straight. He gobbled it up both ways. It can be kind of strong tasting; I thought it was weird (but great) that Aaron liked it so well the first time. Maybe Jonas will get used to it! :-)

My boys loved avocado! I had to laugh about the staying steady on the 3rd percentile. Ian wasn't even on the charts if it's any consolation. Aaron has the cutest smile!!
