welcome to moose park?!?!

Why do all the little infant sized boy clothes have graphics? What is wrong with a PLAIN little shirt? Why add the screen printed graphic? It might be cute for other people's kids, but I want the plain clothes. That I don't have to pay baby Gap prices for.

I've seached high and low for long sleeve un-printed onesies, and this burning question lingers. It seems to me that it would be cheaper to make plain clothes. So who decided to decorate? Who decided it would be cuter to take this perfectly adorable little shirt and add something to the front? My fruitless searching causes me to ask things like, "I wonder if I could bleach that out?"

I suddenly find it imperative to impose my preference for unprinted t-shirts on my son, aged 5 months, who obviously will follow in his mother's footsteps when it comes to clothing tastes. Obviously.

The search continues.

Target online shoes plain white onesies, I use to get plain onesies for the little girl I use to watch at Walmart.

Hmmm...I love that moose onesie...where is it from!? hee hee...I do know what you mean. With Drew, I loved dressing him to look like a mini-man...but I am quickly learning that that is happening on it's own all too quickly, and will probably lend toward the cutsie stuff more with Jack...although most of his stuff is hand-me-downs anyway! Well, I hate to say it but other than the Gerber long sleeved white onsies...I don't think I found a single one for Drew until he was 2...and that's probably because he was out of the onsie and into the t-shirt. good luck! you can sew, can't you...??? fun, fun!!

We visited Alia, Mark and the 3 munchkins this weekend, and I'm pretty sure Malachi (13 mos.)had a few plain, colored onesies--he had a light blue and a dark blue one. I'll have to ask Alia where she got them...

Walmart does carry a Carter's line of long sleeve onesies, but they are thinner than a normal shirt and meant for layering I am sure. I understand your dilema--I have had the same with girl shirts as well. I think the only place you can find plain, white, long sleeve, rounded neck line-NOT a turtlenecke, shirts are at Baby GAP--good like with that!:)

Hey Jenny,
Down here in Detroit we have Children's Place, which has all sorts of clothes like what you're looking for. For future reference, they even have decent skirts/dresses for girls. I don't know if you have them up there, and their website, childrensplace.com seems to be down temporarily. I think they might have an outlet at Birch Run, if you ever go down there. They're having a huge online sale, if the site ever gets back up, and their prices aren't terrible if you can catch the sales. Hope this helps!

Hi Jenny! The Childrens place and baby gap and old navy are good places to shop for plain style shirts... they will also carry striped shirts and printed shirts. the childrens place and old navy run great sales! baby gap will run sales also, just not as often. hope that helps!

Just thought I'd share a quote from a Beverly Lewis book on the Amish life, "The way in which a child is dressed reveals a mother's true heart."

Seems to fit quite well, don't you think =).

What about some plain gerber onesies in a package? Do those have graphics too? Isn't it crazy how baby clothes' makers use such stereotypical graphics for boys and girls clothes? Overall I enjoy baby girl clothes but I avoid purchasing anything with flowers and/or hearts.
