tiny munchkin

When Mom & Dad Muth were here, they commented on how the pictures on our blog make Aaron look much bigger than he actually is in person. So I guess it's the angle. (Now if only I could figure out the angle to make me look smaller in person...) So here's for all of you that say Aaron's getting "so big" - this is a picture of my little sweet baby on our futon in the office. He's sitting in between 2 pillows here. I think he's about the right size for 4 months, especially since I thought for sure we'd have one of those babies that looks, directly from the womb, like a stuffed sausage. My sore back and arm muscles rejoice that this is not the case. As an added non-related note, I'm actually quite excited about our $10 futon cover. I made it out of 2 clearanced tablecloths from Target. Hoooray for clearance!

And here's the little man in his car seat. We finally took out the newborn insert!!! Grandma Forbes got him this junior size reindeer hat and matching slippers to keep him cozy in the car. Thank you, Grandma!!! (he must have a big head from us telling him how cute he is over & over again...the hat leaves a little mark around his forehead when we take it off. OH WELL it made for a cute picture!!)

What a cutie! When Jonas hit 4 months my arms and back started aching! Last week he had to have gained another pound! I can barely carry him in his car seat now. Its sooo heavy! He turned 5 months old on Sunday. He now sits pretty well on my hip when I carry him. The arms are getting a little break now. :-) I'm sure you are having as much fun as we are watching all the day to day changes. He started on peas yesterday for the first time! I'll try to post a video soon of that one!

Let me know if you figure out the angle to make us look smaller. :) I could definitely use that right now. Very cool futon cover. Did you use a pattern or just improvise? Oh my, Chloe was a hugely stuffed sausage when she was born. She's almost 29 lbs. now and I can't tote her around for too long before my feeble arms protest.

Very cute. As always, I am impressed with how domesticated you are. :)

I did not use a pattern, and it was really very simple, as the futon and tablecloths were the same width. I just sewed up the 2 long edges and one short one and had my hubby help me slip in the mattress as if it were an extra large pillow case and voila! instant face lift. The previous fabric was a navy, maroon & forest green plaid. Nice, but...not my style. Plus, I love the stripes!! I also bought a boatload of matching napkins, and the jury is still out to see what will happen to them. Maybe that will be a future post.

Awww, such a cute little guy!! I love the hat and slippers. Sam had a hat where the whole top was a moose and I loved it! Julia wears it sometimes, but everyone thinks she's a boy unless she's in pink, so she doesn't wear it too much. :) Now, she is definitely one of those stuffed sausage babies, as I'm sure you could tell from my blog, LOL!! :D

His facial expressions are so cute. Love the hat & slippers!
So will there be matching pillows for the futon?? I have cloth napkins hanging over a curtain rod in our living room. Works for now & the price was right! :)

Pam - post or send me a pic of the napkin curtain! I had that idea but wasn't sure how to accomplish it!!

Hey Ya'll...the baby is growing...it is amazing how quick they do that, but that is what they are supposed to do right? Good to hear from you and we will keep up with you guys now. Thanks for your prayers, all is going well here and I am glad to see you are doing well too. I will put your blog site on ours. Talk to you later.
