freeze tag

To satisfy the tagger, I am posting eight random things. But I shall remain a frozen statue in this game of cyber tag. I know, I know...seven years of bad luck and all that jazz. I will take my chances.

1. I turned down a chance to teach music in an international school in Vienna. No regrets - I started dating Michael that year.
2. I've always wanted to learn to play cello.
3. Italy would be my vacation destination of choice.
4. I once was chastized for coloring outside the lines by a fellow 5 year old, who shall remain nameless.
5. I almost studied studio art at BJ instead of going to Northland.
6. I'd love to learn how to throw a pot or two (on a wheel, not at anyone in particular)
7. When I traveled for Northland, I was never without a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a scrubby for scary showers/tubs. I left a plethora of sparkly clean showers. CLEAN YOUR SHOWER when you have people over, for crying out loud!
8. I can't cook burgers inside. They smell funny, they taste funny, and I just don't like it.

*laughs* Jenny, I can remember a few times when I was overwhelmingly grateful for your alcohol and scrubby. I am forever indebted!

I'm so glad you chose Northland instead of BJ. And I'm so glad what started out as an awkward situaion on TS turned out to be a lasting frienship. :) At the risk of sounding corny and sappy at the same time, I truly appreciate your friendship, and I miss you. Love ya!

I love # 7!
Guess what I'm cooking tonight on my George Forman Grill? Yep, burgers in the house! Woohoo!

Jenny, I am glad to say that the showers on deputation have been considerably cleaner (overall) than summer team showers. Must be one of the many missionary perks!! :) I remember that scrubby well!

I've never considered that about burgers before. Obviously the grill is the best option but we've often done turkey burgers inside under the broiler.

Wow, I didn't know you were so into art. Guess that 5 yr. old was way off base about you. :) Do you still keep up with art? I mean learning about it and practicing it?

Ruth & Kristi - yay for rubbing alcohol. At least we killed the germs!

Sarah - we had ours grilled! :-)

Al - unfortunately, I haven't kept up. Not in the traditional sense, that is. When I think about it, much of my life revolves around art in some form. Writing, music, drama, etc. But I haven't painted (watercolor was my choice) since high school. Maybe someday!

Uh ho . . . high expectations of cleanliness desired from the Muths. I better get cracking on scrub-a-dub-dubbing my guest bathroom for the arrival. Good thing my last day of school is tomorrow and I can get right on that. By the way, I'll try to hook up with you next week when the hecticness of this week ends. Thanks for understanding. And I do have my To-Do list started on things that I MUST have done by the time the Muths are with us. One, ironically, is Spring Cleaning! =)

I can't understand why somebody would offer to keep someone in their home and not clean it first!

Katrina, I'm sure your tub has never gotten to the point that some of those houses I stayed in were (ooh. Bad structure. oh well) Don't worry, we will NOT be inspecting anything! We're just glad for a roof over our heads!

Kelly, I have no idea why people would invite guests without cleaning. But it happened.

Oh, the stories I can tell. :-)

Funny, I've always had a fascination with the cello too. I even checked them out on ebay. Someday . . . :)
