the end of sleep as we knew it...at least for now

Well, all of you who are jealous of my son's marvelous sleep patterns - cease your jealousy!

Aaron has come down with a cold. The poor little man is extra snuggly and sleeping fitfully, and I, mean mother that I am, keep squirting saline spray up his nose and then sucking out all the congestion. Needless to say, I am not his favorite person at that moment.

And for the last 2 nights, he's been waking up every 2 hours all stuffy and choking. Thankfully, he goes right back to sleep after a suctioning session; no extra feeding necessary.

More pictures will be posted soon, but for now, pray that our little person can survive his first immune system challenge with as little discomfort as possible.

I am SO sorry. I know your pain. Accutely. Luke had his first cold at 5 weeks. I know the horrors of that saline/booger sucker stuff. To tell you the truth, I quit doing it after a while for fear that Luke would disown me. (It also didn't seem to be doing that much.) Anyways, I'm praying for you! It WILL pass, and he WILL sleep again!

I can only imagine, Audrey hates the nose sucker and she doesn't even have a cold. I hope you all survive these next few days~

I am sorry to hear about Aaron's congestion. We will pray that he sleeps and feels better soon. Saline is great as well as Xlear ("Clear") at Health Hut. Boogers be gone! :-) I hope you get better sleep too.

Hey Jenny, hang in there. I'm with Katie and threw the bulb syringe out the window (ok, not literally)because it didn't do much for my kids and they despised it...but if it's working for you that's wonderful. He'll bounce back soon!
