I'm reading Silent Knife, a book about C-section prevention and VBAC, and this little gem made me laugh out loud today.
"It's hard to be relaxed when people are standing around watching the clock and waiting anxiously for your uterus to burst"
I'd say.

What a genteel way to put it!
I'm curious about how to prevent a c-section. How is it preventable?
Al - I'm only part way through the book, but I am pretty sure the general premise is just to be educated about your options instead of blindly accepting what medical professionals say...but I agree that there are some c sections that are unpreventable.
LOL, that is hilarious! It brought some smiles to my day, which has been mostly filled with lovely pregnancy hormones & emotions. :) Thanks!
That's cute! Don and I started our birthing class last night and I thought of you. This lady is adamant about VBACs and that they can be done successfully. Her success rate was quite astounding - something like in the hundreds. She said very sternly, not to let anyone lie to you and tell you after you've had a C-section, that you can't have a vaginal birth again. I was thinking, too bad you don't live around here, she suggested the midwifery center (where Amanda gave birth) as the best spot around. Anyway, just thought I'd throw in that little tidbit and let you know that we are praying that you can have a successful VBAC!
