Today I found Retro Food, a blog devoted to the recipes our moms and grandmas had in their recipe boxes. I just spent a good 15 minutes over there, laughing at some of the recipes, and thinking, "ooh, I've just got to try that one" a few times as well. I will go back. For sure. Especially if I need another idea for our menu. Yes, I am still on that kick. It might be more of a phase now.
I found the site through Frugal Hacks, which is definitely a blog to subscribe to in your Google Reader if you've any desire to save money in creative ways. I've found so many ideas and tips via that site and others who are listed in the sidebar.
So now I'm curious - what's one of your favorite sites?

I love babycheapskate.blogspot.com
Thanks for the retro food tip! Sounds like a very interesting site. I'm curious to see if the old recipes are health-conscious at all . . .

I am an allrecipes.com fan. I actually like all kinds of cooking blogs and websites. The ones with the reviews are especially helpful. What a great question to ask! :)
Thanks, Jenny! I just checked it out and copied that "old witch cake" recipe to try!!! Have you seen the new video they posted...it was cracking me up! My, how things have changed. Well, for specialty things and when I am in the mood to dive into baking, I always find great (and impressive) stuff on marthastewart.com. I just made the "Grandma Stafford's Nutmeg Cookies" today and they are delicious!!! (perfect for a little munchkin!) Happy cooking!!
