Well, here are some pictures! We are pretty excited (the understatement of the year) about our new floors, new toilet, and new beginning on the fireplace. This is what we decided to do with our fireplace. The light grey is the new part - we poured concrete to add to the hearth. We will be covering it with slate tile - the tile shown is ceramic, but the colors are similar to the slate we've chosen. We will then replace the fire screen (until we can afford custom glass!!!!) we are taking suggestions on paint colors for the brick. Click here to see the house in previous stages.
We are so thankful that God has provided these floors for us! A big thank you to our friend (and pastor) Kris for helping out on Thursday and also to Dad Forbes for helping with the potty installation project!!! Everything looks fantastic! How exciting to see it all coming together finally! And your ideas for the fireplace sound lovely. I have to say, I was stumped when I saw those old pix of the weird fireplace.

I joined Publix Baby Club and I took some classes at Babies R us. They give samples and coupons and they will take more than 1 coupon per item. If you get on the Toys R Us mailing list, they have great coupons too.
Also, I get CVS rewards and get $2-$10 in store bucks every month or so. Like I got a $3 skin care coupon which I used for Baby Lotion. Then there was a $1 hair care product so I got a shampoo. :) And if the item is already on sale. even better! Target keeps sending me coupons and I got their body wash and lotion for only 50 cents each!
The Baby Talk and American Baby magazines have coupons in them too. I don't have a Meijer nearby but I do know they have a Baby CLub as well.
Whoever lived in this apartment before me must have had a baby because I am always getting coupons from Huggies. Oh and Motherhood Maternity store gave me a bag of coupons and bottle.
I don't get the Sunday paper. DO you? But they probably have coupons of some type.
You might have already exhausted these resources, but I' have lots of free time to search um out :)I'll let you know about any other finds I find. Probably on facebook.

Awesome! The floors look great. Mike and I actually just began the process of taking out carpet and putting in what looks to be the same type of wood floors across our whole house. It will be an adventure - one we've just started. Yours looks great though!
those floors look great. we are renting right now and i love our hardwood floors, but they are old and need redone! it gets discouraging when you mop and see no difference! i have really bad allergies, and wood floors have made all the difference from carpet. anyways, its been so exciting to see the progress on your home. i'll know who to ask when we need tips b/c i'm sure we'll end up getting a fixer upper also.
