When we replaced our siding, I was out there with my neat battery operated Black & Decker handheld saw, helping with removal of the old, measuring and hammering on the new. It just blew my father-in-law away!!! He talked about it for years... guess that he just wasn't used to 'lady carpenters' ... it was great fun!!!Rosemaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05855131222804620687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23600935.post-67492712322576053012008-09-10T13:01:00.000-05:002008-09-10T13:01:00.000-05:00I never thought to can pinto's what an idea.I'm bu...I never thought to can pinto's what an idea.
I'm busy canning pear and applesauce. So far I've canned 14 quarts and 28 pints. I still have five 5 gallon on the back porch to get to. Applesauce doesn't have the smell of pinto's thank goodness.Shelldellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01909456857564077241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23600935.post-89814487842912972912008-09-10T06:47:00.000-05:002008-09-10T06:47:00.000-05:00Congrats on your siding! I had some major he-woman moments last night as I was working hard with a hammer & crow bar (is that how you spell it?). Anyway, I totally understand that feeling of strength & power ;-)Mary Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06403083611514935619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23600935.post-37163145843886727722008-09-10T01:05:00.000-05:002008-09-10T01:05:00.000-05:00Love the color of the siding! You'll have to send me pics of the beautiful colors. We've been hangin' around 100 degrees here in sunny SoCal.

Give Aaron a big squeeze for me. He looks so huggable in that pic. Oh, I wish I could give you all a big squeeze. Alas for us . . . we've had our siding for over 2 YEARS and only one side of our house is finished! My hubby is always busy working on other people's projects or other more important projects for us, and so far hasn't had time to tackle the rest of the siding. So we have a mostly Tyvek house. We are hoping to have time to get the rest of it done before winter. We'll see!! At least we don't have any close neighbors so no one is really bothered by it. Tyvek houses are fairly common in rural NH. :)

And I love your baby carrier! Did you make it? It looks really comfy and the print is beautiful!

Can't wait to see photos of the finished siding!Carriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00159961811540152967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23600935.post-90286254333830198512008-09-09T21:34:00.000-05:002008-09-09T21:34:00.000-05:00You were productive today, lady! I'd like to can one of these days but I have no canning supplies.

I'm glad that your siding came in. I LOVE sage green. The finished product will look really nice.

I'm really good at demolition also:). My husband is very precise and good at the constructing part. I excel at messing stuff up - it IS rather fun isn't it?Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15786503854290478861noreply@blogger.com
